Hot air Balloon Flights Tuscany
San Casciano in Val di Pesa, Florence, Chianti
Our base is located 25 minutes drive south of Florence, in the Chianti
area. The takeoff field can be easily reached along the Florence
Siena motorway at the Bargino exit. From our fields the mogolfiere
take off almost every morning weather conditions allowing to fly over
the magnificent hills of Chianti. Depending on the direction of the
winds we fly along the Val di Pesa towards Cerbaia, Montelupo. along
the ridges of San Quirico and San Casciano. Or with the winds from the
North / East we fly towards the Val d'Elsa, above Lucardo, Marcialla,
Barberino, Tavarenelle to land near Certaldo, San Gimignano,
Poggibonsi. Winds permitting we fly over the ancient villages and
castles, Montegufoni, Poppiano, Lucardo, Santa Maria Novella, San
Michele and Petrognano .. Balloon flights over the Chianti countryside
with the famous farms, vineyards and centuriesold olive groves, oak
and holm oak forests is always an enchanting spectacle.
Siena
We have various takeoff camps near Siena and we choose the starting
point based on the winds to try to fly over the city. Flying over
Siena is a show! although it is not always possible to pass right
above the city center. We fly from Siena for 'Private' flights and
groups (min. 4 people). We also have a starting location north of
Siena, at the foot of the Chianti hills, and even further south
towards Taverne d'Arbia, the Crete Senesi, Buonconvento, Montalcino
and Motepulciano.
Monteriggioni, Casole d’Elsa, Mensanello, San Gimignano
On request we also fly near Monteriggioni, Colle Val d'Elsa, Casole
Castle and San Gimignano. The countryside is very suggestive with the
red earth of the plateau between Boscona and Mensanello and the
ancient forests of Quercie and holm oaks. Takeoff locations are
easily accessible from the Florence, Siena motorway.
Firenze
Flying over Florence is a beautiful and rare experience. Taking off
from Florence requires particular weather conditions and due to the
proximity of the international airport there are limitations. We have
takeoff places in the city and just south, near the Arno river. From
here with the winds from the North / East we fly over the city and
then high towards the hills of the Chiantigiana countryside. Private
Flights or groups of Min. 4 people.
Lucca, Capannori
The ancient city of Lucca with its magnificent walls is a show to fly
over! even here, however, the wind conditions do not always allow us
to fly over the city center. Private Flights or groups (min 4 people)
